Restaurant Week in Manchester: A Great Success!

During Restaurant week I tried Firefly, located on Amherst St in Manchester.
I loved the open space in the bar, the great bar food and the friendly staff.
The interior shows off the brick work from this renovated space. Take a look at the round windows inthe dining room.
The steaks are large and tasty. There is a nice selection of seafood and pastas too!
The wait staff were friendly, prompt and knowledgeable.
Ask for Lindsey, she knows her wine list!!
Try Firefly you won't be disappointed.

Tailgating at Gillette Stadium!! Go Pats!!!

Have You ever had a chance to Tailgate?
I recently had my first experience at The Patriots Home Field: Gillette Stadium. The game was set to begin at 1pm and the tailgating began at 9am.
I was amazed with the precision with which trucks and vans pulled into the lot and proceeded to set up tables, chairs, grills, tents, flags and gaming areas.
One fellow, who called himself the governor of the lot, had a flat screen TV set mounted on the back wall of his tent with all the pre-game talk available to his guests.
The Food was another eye-opener! There was everything from bacon and eggs, hamburgers, wings, chili and all the fixings to one guy who was deep frying a turkey. He had his generator humming to take care of all his power needs.
Playing bean bag toss, catching footballs, and poker playing seemed to be the most popular games. I saw quite a few innovative home-made games involving tossing large washers into plywood holes.
The atmosphere was friendly and fun and everyone had a love for their Patriots.
If you love a good time don't miss out on a chance for a great fun! Tailgating with your favorite Patriot Fans...Now That's the Red Oak Life!

Check out this Manchester Blog by Will Stewart!

I just read a great blog written by our friend, Will Stewart from Fortress Manchester.

In it he leads us around the many neon signs that exist in Manchester. It's funny that we don't notice things until someone points them out to us. My favorite is the neon sign at the Red Arrow Diner. Of course its always on, leading us to a great cup of coffee or delicious late night snack.
What is your favorite neon sign in Manchester?
